1UP RETRO, first and foremost, is about celebrating our love and passion for retro video gaming. We strive to sell best-in-class retro game compilations, accessories and more.

Founder Jeremy Marshall discovered his lifelong passion 40 years ago when he got his first gaming system – the Atari 2600. No other hobby or interest stuck. It was love at first cartridge. It was about “A Boy and His Console.”

He went on to compete in the Nintendo World Championships in the ’90s and made it to semi-finalist (his wife likes to say he choked). He is sought after the world over for his console mods and repairs. He is one of the most knowledgeable experts in retro gaming and its history. His personal collection is one of the largest in the U.S. (How many copies of Majora’s Mask can one man own!?) In other words, he knows retro gaming. His son’s friends think he is the coolest dad ever. His greatest dream is not to win the Powerball but to find the Nintendo World Championship cart or NES Stadium Events out in the wild (#NeverGonnaHappen).
